Currently we are recruiting volunteers,  building our ranks now to impact the 2022 election. We need phonebankers!  You can make calls at HQ (meet new people!) or from home. Eventually volunteers will register voters, knock on doors and support candidates who bring our PCDP ideals to government.
Not ready to make calls yet? Add your name to our general list to let us know your skills. Also collecting names for in-kind donations of goods and services. Can you feed the volunteers? Provide live music for events? Have new auction items? We want to know!

Meet Zoey Fife, PCDP Recording Secretary

Meet Zoey Fife, PCDP Recording Secretary

The role of Recording Secretary is vital to every organization, and the Pima County Democratic Party is no exception. Zoey Fife was appointed to that job last August and elected to the post at PCDP’s annual meeting in November.

In addition to taking minutes at monthly meetings, Zoey enjoys pitching in with PCDP events, like the Udall dinner and the mayor’s inaugural luncheon.
When events come off without a hitch, I feel like something important was accomplished,” she said. “I look forward to the day we can safely meet in person and celebrate our hard work through the pandemic.”

Volunteer Spotlight | Joanie Allison

Golfers Joanie and Jim Allison grew to love Tucson during their February visits to Dove Mountain’s Accenture Match Play Championship golf tournament. When asked about her proficiency as a golfer, Joanie would only say the greenskeepers of Alexandria, VA, celebrated when the Allisons retired to Tucson in 2012.

Joanie leads Thursday’s morning and afternoon volunteer crews at PCDP headquarters. Now working from home, she returns phone calls and answers questions about everything from voter registration to road repair. Her favorite calls are inquiries about registering as a Democrat.

“I enjoy interacting with the public, and I look forward to returning to the office and our merry band of volunteers,” she said.  “Alison and Cat are so supportive. We all learn from each other, but Alison and Cat are special.”

Other ways to get involved

If you live in Pima County, you live in one of the seven Legislative Districts (LD) that are partially or fully inside Pima County.

Volunteering with both County
and your LD is effective!

Precinct Committepersons are responsible for organizing neighborhoods, ensuring great voter engagement, and turning out the vote on every block. Filling all the vacancies is important for full representation. You first term is appointed, after that PC’s gather signatures to become Elected PC’s.

Elected PCs vote for the leadership in Legislative Districts and County Party.

Clubs and Caucuses are great places to meet like minded people who share a common specific cause.
