Sandy Bahr, the Director of the Sierra Club Grand Canyon Chapter, will talk to us about the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC), the de facto fourth branch of government in Arizona, and the role it plays in determining environmental policy in the State.

The ACC is a powerful entity in the State and three of its five seats are up for election in 2020. Learn how to stay informed and shape an ACC that reflects your values.

Karen Christensen will discuss the role of the United States Department of State on the world stage, and will help us understand what it does and why we should care.  Karen had a 34 year career in the U.S. Foreign Service. Most recently she served as the most senior Foreign Service Officer in the Bureau of Consular Affairs until her retirement in 2019.
