After a nine hour meeting, new officers were elected by Arizona’s State Committepeople.

Regardless that Representative Mark Finchem (R-LD11) does not directly represent Arizona Legislative District Nine, his recent actions in the Arizona House of Representatives directly impact our district, our state and our country.

Her advice to people who are considering campaigning for Democrats is: “Don’t be afraid. There’s always something that you can do. Don’t be intimidated by maybe a Republican neighbor, or others that you think might not like you because you’re out there campaigning for Democrats. I plow through and I think the best way to change what’s happening in this country is to change who’s in charge.”

- Approximately 69% of registered voters in LD9 live in unincorporated Pima County.
- 30% live within the Tucson City boundaries
- less than 1% live in Marana and Oro Valley.
