Yaaay for LD3’s endorsement of Tucson Fight for 15$!! Now let’s follow up with boots on the ground and get out and talk to our precinct voters ( and/or others) to get this on the ballot in November 2021.
You can text, leaflet, gather signatures or a host of other things! Time is of the essence— let’s DO this! Contact CJ Boyd at tucsonfightfor15.com to get literature, walking lists, etc. Action Item!
Margo Cowan and her staff at Justice for All outlined the urgent need to get this initiative to provide indigent residents of Pima County legal representation for removal/deportation hearings on the ballot for 2022. They can provide you with everything you need – including pens and hand sanitizer – to help you gather signatures on petitions in a safe and successful manner!
Please visit their website (https://www.pimacountyjusticeforall.org) to sign up for the biweekly newsletter. They are always looking for volunteers. Right now canvassers are needed to walk with us on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings and afternoons. Phone bankers are also needed for Friday nights and Saturday afternoons.

A Special Note…

The Garcia family have been generous supporters of our community, but as casualties of Fourth Avenue gentrification (and no doubt the economic toll of the pandemic), they need our support. Local restaurants like La Indita make Tucson what it is; if you would like to help the Garcia family, you may donate at:
