By Miranda Lopez, PCDP Director

I’m so excited to serve as your PCDP Director! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.

I was born and raised in Phoenix, and graduated from the UA (Bear Down!) in 2018 with a double major in Spanish and Political Science. Almost immediately, the statewide coordinated campaign recruited me as an organizer, and I relocated to Flagstaff. We knocked on doors, made calls, and recruited volunteers day and night to make sure that Democrats were elected up and down the ballot in the 2018 midterms.

I developed a passion for organizing that I never knew I had. Getting out the vote and helping volunteers realize their potential as community leaders drove me to continue organizing in Arizona in 2020.

After our victory in November, I stayed in touch with Bonnie, and returned to Tucson as PCDP’s Operations Coordinator. I live in LD10, by the Pantano Wash, in an apartment that I’m slowly decorating. I enjoy writing and baking, but I miss my dogs, who are with my folks in Phoenix.

I have developed plans for fundraising, operations, and digital organization. As your PCDP Director, I’m eager to start to get the office back up and running at full speed, and put these plans into action!

Remember, there is a lot of work to be done to keep Arizona blue in ‘22, and your support is what will take us over the finish line!

Feel free to reach out anytime with any questions about how you can help the party (or if you have hiking suggestions). I’m looking forward to working with you all!
