We might be in a pause between election cycles, but there’s plenty of activity at PCDP headquarters. Until April 13, it’ll be all about the Udall Dinner, which takes place that evening. The great news at publication time is that there’s only one table left to fill, though there are overflow tables, so not to worry if you decide that evening to attend. This will be an exciting night to celebrate, unite, and embrace our party, featuring live music, a beautiful video presentation, celebrity guests, keynote speaker Nancy Maclean and more.
Next up: PC and LD Leadership Weekend Workshops, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on April 27 and 28. The Arizona Democratic Party will host the trainings at PCDP headquarters. Please sign up through your LDs. Saturday’s workshop will focus on PCs – new and seasoned; Sunday’s on leadership.
We’ve established a Tabling Team to assemble ready-to-go tabling kits and to plan, prepare, and execute tabling events throughout the year. We’ll soon be asking for volunteers as we ramp up for rallies, fairs, parades and celebrations. We’ll post events in our calendars as we find out about them so you can start planning ahead and choosing your volunteer gigs.
We’re also organizing a Landscape Team to take charge of preparing our big backyard for events and rallies. Last month, Landtamer’s Landscape company generously donated supplies, but the rest is up to us. Please let us know at HQ if you’d like to serve on this team. The first phase will involve live landscaping. Phase two involves hardscaping, deck and ramada-building, and barbecue grill installation.
The famous “Red Room” has been cleaned up and rearranged, and is ready for private meetings, conferences and events. We’re seeking donations for a large conference table and chairs to replace the plastic furniture that’s in there now.
It was decided at the Monday, April 1, EC meeting that PCDP will be staffing a booth at the Pima County Fair, April 18-28. To volunteer, please get in touch with First Vice Chair Luci Messing, at luci@pimadems.org.
A big shout-out to all of the amazing HQ volunteers, the unsung heroes of the building. Without them, we could not function as the PCDP’s hub for information, resources and support.
