Disabled Democrats have formed a caucus within the PCDP: the Disability Caucus, which held its convening meeting on Jan. 9, 2019,  and was officially recognized at the Feb. 4, 2019, Executive Committee meeting.

Our purpose is to strengthen the Democratic Party by advocating for the integration of people with disabilities in the activities of the party, candidates’ campaigns, and the party’s policy agenda. We also hope to offer assistance to our local elected officials in considering how different policy ideas might affect the disability community.

We are currently recruiting new members and soliciting  ideas about making party activities more accessible to disabled members of the community.

The caucus meets at 5 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month at DIRECT, 1001 N. Alvernon Way.

“You’ll meet dedicated, passionate people who are working hard to make the Democratic Party and Arizona a better place,” Chairperson Carol Brown said.
